SingTel unrivalled at Marketing Excellence Awards

LNG_7899Beating as many as 71 other brands and in the presence of over 400 guests, SingTel bagged the top glory at the second installment of the Marketing Excellence Awards.

Its trophy tally included eight Golds, two Silvers, one Bronze, and the Marketer of the Year.

SingTel displayed impressive stronghold by sweeping Excellence in Advertising, Brand Strategy, Consumer Insights / Market Research, Content Marketing, Experiential / Event Marketing, Integrated Marketing (Consumer), Marketing Communications and Media Strategy, while finishing second in Excellence in Public Relations and Viral Marketing. The trophy collection was topped up with another Bronze in Media Strategy.

Following the awards’ protocol, medals were tallied using the standard exponential-weighted point system: four points for gold, two points for silver and one point for bronze. SingTel reigned with 37 points and was thus crowned as the undisputed Marketer of the Year.

Finishing second was McDonald’s and National Heritage Board, bagging two Golds each. McDonald’s Meet Share Love and National Breakfast Day campaigns left the judges awestruck in Brand Awareness and Launch Marketing categories while Singapore HeritageFest 2013 propelled the National Heritage Board to the top in the Public Relations and Government Sector Marketing categories.

Singapore Management University fared remarkably as well. Its undergraduate admissions campaign 2013 ‘SMU – A Different U’ won two Silvers and three Bronzes across competitive categories such as Advertising and Integrated Marketing (Consumer).

Pizza Hut took home a Gold, Silver and Bronze with their Consumer Life-cycle Marketing campaign for Excellence in Loyalty, Data-Driven, and Consumer Insights / Market research respectively.

Other brands that won awards include BlackBerry, DBS Bank, HSBC, Lego Singapore, Mapletree Commercial, MasterCard, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and TANGS, amongst many others. A total of 67 awards were handed out to a room full of expectant finalists at the Pan Pacific Singapore.

The Marketing Excellence Awards 2013 was supported by Claude Bernard, Active Network , Forever Young Group, Freeflow Productions, Heineken, CornerStone and Live!Studios.
